42% of our community could use our help in gaining the skills they need to excel in their lives. Only a small percentage of those people know about our program. Our Ambassador program relies on a few great individuals who actively promote our services within the community. They are aware of our services and those we can help. If you would like to act as an ambassador promoting our services please contact us »
Anyone can become a member of Next Step. The membership fee is $2. For $2 you will be entitled to vote at our Annual General Meeting in September and receive our e-newsletter. We will share stories of student success as well as keep you up to date on the special literacy issues and events of interests in South Simcoe. Your $2 membership fee will go towards providing the best quality of education for our learners.
Our annual Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee is our main fundraiser for Next Step. The funds raised go towards providing the best learning situation that we can for our learners. We need items for our silent auction and prizes. We need volunteers to help us at the Bee as well as canvassing for sponsors and donations. We also need spellers! Click here to learn more information about the Bee. To donate items please come and visit us at 16 Victoria St. E in Alliston. To volunteer at the Bee please contact us to apply.
Volunteering at Next Step is very rewarding and appreciated by both the students and the organization. We formally recognize our volunteers at our Volunteer Appreciation dinner.
