THE GRATE GROAN-UP SPELLING BEE
Each April The Bee is held to raise funds to provide the best quality education to our learners here at Next Step. Costumed teams of three compete for prizes for Best Spellers, Best Costumes and Best Team Spirit. The evening also features a delicious buffet dinner, a silent auction, 50/50 and oodles of suspense as we determine who will take home the coveted Best Spellers prize. Join us for a night of fun to support a good cause.

Tickets are $65 each which includes dinner, dessert buffet, silent auction and entertainment.

HONORARY CHAIR: ROD CARLEY
Rod is an award-winning author of humorous literary fiction, including RUFF (a Canadian bestseller) and GRIN REAPING (longlisted for the 2023 Leacock Medal). His short fiction has appeared in numerous literary magazines, and he has directed over 150 stage productions. A past winner of TV Ontario’s Big Ideas/Best Lecturer Competition, he also received the Stratford Festival’s inaugural Jean Gascon Director’s Award.
